This policy describes the Shopify app bis-back-in-stock (“the app”), operated by Alexandr Alehando. Contact: aleksandrmanego@gmail.com.
The app lets a store visitor ask for one email when a sold-out product is available again. It does nothing else. There is no SMS, no push, no advertising, and no sale of data.
When someone submits the “Notify me” form, the app stores the email address they typed, the product and variant they asked about, and the store domain. The app does not read the customer’s email from Shopify. It uses only the address entered in the form.
Through Shopify, the app reads product and inventory data needed to know when a variant is back in stock: product title, variant id, and inventory level. Access scopes are read_products and read_inventory. The app does not read orders, customer lists, or payment data.
The email is used once: to send a back-in-stock message with a link to the product. After a successful send, the signup is marked notified. Data is not used for marketing lists and is not sold.
The app runs on Fly.io in the Frankfurt region. Email is sent by Resend from the Ireland (eu-west-1) region, from notify@bisnotify.com. Shopify provides the store and inventory events. These processors handle the data only to deliver the notification.
A signup is kept until the notification is sent, or until the merchant uninstalls the app. Uninstall deletes the store’s signups. Server logs may keep technical records for a short period needed to fix errors.
The storefront form does not set tracking cookies and does not follow the shopper around the store.
A merchant can ask for deletion by uninstalling the app or by emailing aleksandrmanego@gmail.com. A shopper can use the same address to ask what was stored from their form.
